Tyndale’s New Testament;- WilliamTyndale was arrested in late May of 1535, but according to Herbert’s Historical Catalogue of English Bibles;- Herbert 15- with Herbert’s Historical Catalogue of Printed Edition of the English Bible 1525-1961 and is Number 15 on the list. page 7 of Herbert’s There was another edition of Tyndale’s New Testament, Published by Merten de Keyser? for Govaert van der Haghen in Antwerp 1535. This edition of Tyndale’s New Testament is considered to be the last revised by Tyndale himself, shortly before his arrest and death in 1536. It used many of the sheet printed by the Publisher Merten de Keyser as its basis, including the 1st. title border that was used in the November edition of 1534. The Tyndale’s New Testament 1535 also was a corrected edition of the few mistakes made in the 1534 New Testament of our Lord also published by Merten de Keyser, I understand an incomplete copy of this exceptionally rare Tyndale is now to be found in the new Biblical Museum in Washington.
